The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to print their examination notification slips. The UTME examination is expected to host approximately 1.5 million candidates at 740 centers throughout Nigeria. Candidates have been directed to access their exam center, date, time and other essential details, such as their examination code, via their printed examination notification slip.

The statement read, “The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) urges all candidates sitting for the 2023 main UTME, to proceed to print their examination notification slip from Thursday, April 20. The notification slip would contain their examination centre, time of examination, date of examination and other essential details necessary for taking the examination, which commences from Tuesday, April 25.”

To ensure candidates are not caught off-guard, JAMB has instructed all candidates to print their examination notification slips on or before Monday, April 24, by visiting https://www.jamb.gov.ng, clicking on “2023 UTME SLIP PRINTING” on the menu bar.

Dr Fabian Benjamin also emphasized the importance of candidates locating their centers ahead of the examination day, urging them to arrive at their respective examination centres on time to prevent delays. Additionally, candidates are advised to avoid prohibited items such as wristwatches, calculators, flash drives and handsets, among others.

He further reiterates the zero tolerance stance of the board on examination malpractice, emphasizing that candidates should refrain from any form of misbehavior during the Computer Based Test (CBT).

JAMB has urged all candidates to comply with the necessary guidelines and ensure that they follow the instructions to ensure that the examination process runs smoothly. With these measures in place, it is expected that the 2023 UTME examination will be a success, and candidates will receive their results within a timely manner.
