Breaking: JAMB Students Narrowly Escape Bandit Abduction on Kaduna Highway
According to a parent of some students who were traveling from Jama’a to Kaduna metropolis to write the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, they narrowly escaped being abducted by bandits on the road. The incident occurred on a fateful day when the bandits had mounted a roadblock with the intention of kidnapping road users.
The parent, who narrated the incident to a reporter in Kaduna on Saturday, stated that the students and other road users were traveling in a vehicle when they suddenly heard the sound of the military convoy siren approaching from behind. The bandits, upon hearing the siren, quickly fled into the nearby bushes, leaving the travelers unharmed.
The parent, known as Mr. Stephen Dogo, could not pinpoint the exact location of the incident as the students were too young to recognize the area. However, he expressed gratitude to God for protecting the innocent children and called on the government to take immediate action to end the ongoing insurgency. He stated that such incidents cannot be allowed to continue forever, and the government must do everything possible to restore peace and security to the region.
