In a remarkable display of its commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility, Innoson vehicles has awarded a N3 million scholarship to Ejikeme Joy, a 16-year-old student who emerged as the overall best-performing candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Founded by Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma OFR, Innoson vehicles has demonstrated its commitment to providing financial support for talented students like Ejikeme, enabling them to pursue their tertiary education with ease over the next five years.
According to a statement issued by Cornel Osigwe, the head of corporate communications at Innoson on Monday, the company will continue to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility by implementing various initiatives, including awarding scholarships, creating job opportunities, and supporting local communities.
Ejikeme Joy, the recipient of the scholarship, is the daughter of an okada rider and is currently studying at Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi. She achieved an impressive score of 362 in the 2023 UTME, making her the highest scorer and the deserving recipient of the scholarship.
